Who Decides Our Destiny?
Inspired by its purpose CHANGEDESTINY as the world re-emerges from unprecedented times, global prestige skincare brand SK-II announces the launch of “SK-II STUDIO”—the brand’s first film studio division and content hub dedicated to tackling social pressures impacting women today through the power of film and storytelling.
Bringing together world-renown filmmakers, animators, musicians, content creators with the passion to inspire positive change as part of SK-II STUDIO, SK-II will be directing more of its brand content towards driving conversations with a bigger purpose around social pressures impacting women.
On this 29th March 2021, SK-II STUDIO will be releasing its very first film The Center Lane that spotlights the inspiring, destiny-changing story of Japanese swimmer Rikako Ikee as she returns to competitive swimming after overcoming leukemia in 2019.
This debut SK-II STUDIO film is created in partnership with award-winning director Hirokazu Kore-Eda in his iconic humanist style and is the first of eight SK-II STUDIO films set to be released in 2021.
Alongside SK-II STUDIO, the brand is also launching a CHANGEDESTINY fund, which will contribute $1 for every audience view of SK-II STUDIO in support of women pursuing their destiny.
