The video-sharing app is now one of the most popular apps in the country, with more than 700 million users across the world. According to Sensor Tower, TikTok was the top downloaded app globally in 2020 crossing 2 billion downloads.

The Launch of TikTok Shop Malaysia
TikTok Shop has officially entered the Malaysia market, in March 2022. It allows local consumers to shop for a variety of products while also giving local businesses more opportunities to sell through the app.
According to TikTok, the app has over 100 million monthly users in Malaysia and is used by people across all ages. The social media platform said that it is committed to “leveraging its strengths in technology, creativity and entertainment” to bring a “unique experience” for Malaysians.
With the launch of TikTok Shop in Malaysia, the shoppers are eligible to enjoy discounts up to 99%, with free delivery and discount coupons, from 21 March to 2 April 2022.
